Após estabilidade em março, os industriais estão menos confiantes em relação à economia em abril. O Índice de Confiança do Empresário Industrial (Icei), medido pela Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI) caiu para 51,5 pontos em abril, queda de 1,3 ponto em relação aos 52,8 pontos registrados em março.
Apesar da queda, o indicador continua acima da linha divisória de 50 pontos, que separa o otimismo do pessimismo. O índice, no entanto, mantém-se abaixo da média histórica de 54 pontos.
De acordo com a CNI, o principal motivo para a queda foi a avaliação negativa sobre o momento atual da economia brasileira. Um dos componentes do Icei, o Índice de Condições Atuais, que mede a percepção atual sobre a economia e a própria empresa, caiu de 47,5 pontos em março para 45,7 pontos em abril. Abaixo da linha de 50 pontos desde janeiro de 2023, o indicador vem caindo desde janeiro.
O Índice de Expectativas, que mede as perspectivas para os próximos seis meses, caiu de 55,4 para 54,4 pontos. Esse indicador é dividido em duas partes. A previsão positiva para a própria empresa caiu de 58,2 pontos, em março, para 57,6 pontos em abril, indicando manutenção da confiança. A previsão para a economia, no entanto, deteriorou-se, passando de 49,7 pontos para 48 pontos, ficando abaixo da linha que separa o otimismo do pessimismo.
Segundo a CNI, os movimentos indicam reversão parcial em relação ao avanço das expectativas até o fim do ano passado. Para a entidade, os industriais demonstram confiança em relação à própria empresa, mas há maior preocupação em relação à economia atual e ao cenário econômico futuro. A pesquisa foi realizada com 1.238 empresários entre 1º e 5 de abril.
