Na terça-feira (06), as escolas de Tempo Integral da rede municipal de Vila Velha deram início às atividades letivas, registrando um aumento de 22% no número de vagas em comparação ao ano anterior. O município continua seu processo de ampliação da capacidade de atendimento nessa modalidade de ensino, com um total próximo de 2.700 alunos matriculados, em contraste com as 2.330 matrículas do ano anterior.
A rede pública de ensino de Vila Velha atualmente conta com dez escolas de Tempo Integral, distribuídas em todas as cinco regiões do município. Dessas, sete são voltadas para o Ensino Fundamental, duas para a Educação Infantil e uma abrange ambas as faixas etárias. Nos últimos três anos, foram inauguradas seis novas unidades, aumentando de quatro escolas de Tempo Integral em 2021 para as 10 em funcionamento atualmente.
A secretária de Educação da Prefeitura de Vila Velha, Adriana Meireles, explica que a proposta da Educação em Tempo Integral visa prolongar o tempo de permanência dos estudantes nas escolas, proporcionando mais oportunidades de aprendizado e vivências. Com uma organização específica de tempos e espaços, disciplinas e atividades diferenciadas, essa modalidade se baseia em três pilares: formação acadêmica de excelência, preparação para a vida e desenvolvimento de competências para o século XXI, incentivando os alunos a serem protagonistas de seus projetos de vida.
Um exemplo desse entusiasmo é Agatha Messias Peçanha, que saiu animada de seu primeiro dia de aula no 6º ano da UMEFTI Rev. Antônio da Silva Cosmo, localizada em Jardim Colorado.
